Stuck at Home?
With schools, offices, and other public spaces closing across the country, we want to help you stay entertained and engaged in the natural world. So we are making our website free to all visitors through the end of June. We have also made the current digital editions of our magazines free to the public for the next few months.
And here’s a tip for parents: We hope you’ll take advantage of the activity ideas and student pages in our free monthly Ranger Rick Educator’s Guides and Ranger Rick Jr. Parent Reading Guides.

Also for parents: Please stay tuned to our Ranger Rick Facebook and Twitter feeds. We will update them both each day with fresh ideas and activities.

Canvas PaintingSaturday, May 30, 2020 at 11:00 AMLocation: Online

Saturday, May 30 @ 11:00am

Canvas Painting

Join Olivia Allen for this online class on the library FB page.  Here are her instructions so you'll be prepared: I mix all my paints with just primary colors so as long as you have red, blue, yellow (black & white also) you'll be good to go. I used a 16x20 canvas but almost any canvas will be fine, I know some people like to use smaller or square ones. As far as brushes go, I would say the same thing - most anything you have will work. It’s probably best to have at least one large brush (1 inch or larger), a medium (square or round), and a small detail brush.
