Tax time is near! Let’s look at the tax implications of assets
in a trust compared to an estate going through the probate process. We’ll also
discuss the question of “who pays the taxes on inherited property” and mention
“step-up in basis” – the readjustment of the value of an appreciated asset for
tax purposes upon inheritance.
